How to be Successful as a Qwick Professional

If you're looking to excel on the Qwick platform, we've got some tips that can help you shine. Whether you're new to the gig or a seasoned pro, following these guidelines can make a significant difference in your QwickScore, and ultimately, your experience on the platform.

Avoid canceling shifts.

Reliability is key to success on Qwick. In fact, our top-rated professionals cancel less than 1% of their shifts. When businesses know they can count on you, they're more likely to give you positive reviews and request you for future shifts.

Avoid cancelations by only accepting shifts you are confident you can attend. Of course, we know life can be unpredictable, so if you do find yourself needing to cancel a shift, please do so as soon as possible. This allows us to find another professional to fill your spot and helps avoid any disruptions to the business. Learn more about cancelations and how they impact your QwickScore here

Pro tip: The minute you accept a shift, add it to your calendar and set any reminders you might need. This way, you won't accidentally schedule something else during your shift.

Confirm your shifts.

Both 24 hours and 4 hours ahead of your shift start time, you’ll be asked to confirm your shift. It’s important to click the “confirm” button as soon as you receive the notification to ensure you don't lose the shift. Look for a text message from 79425 confirming that your shift has been successfully confirmed. Failure to confirm your shift in a timely manner will result in your shift being reassigned.

Pro tip: At the time of confirmation, it’s also a good idea to review the shift description once more and confirm details. This leads us to our next tip…

Be prepared.

Before working a shift, ensure you understand the requirements, including attire and accessories. Always show up on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to work. All necessary information about your shift is provided beforehand, so review it carefully to avoid any surprises.

Here are some helpful questions to ask yourself before a shift:

  • What’s my plan to get to the shift on time? Think through how you plan to transport yourself to the shift, and how much time you need to do so. Consider traffic and the parking instructions in your planning as well.
  • Do I have the needed attire? Don’t let laundry day catch you off guard! It happens to the best of us.
  • Am I expected to bring any tools? Depending on the shift, you may be asked to bring your knife set, a wine key, etc.

Keep it kind and professional.

Most positive reviews from businesses highlight the professionalism and kindness of Qwick pros. While it’s great to excel in “hard” skills like cooking techniques or knife skills, interpersonal “soft” skills matter a lot as well, especially when working with new teams.

People take notice of how you treat them. Show respect, be courteous, and engage positively with staff and customers. Your attitude can leave a lasting impression! (And will likely be rewarded with a great rating.) Win-win!

Bring your A-game!

Being punctual and completing your assigned tasks is essential, but going above and beyond will help you stand out. Take the initiative where possible. Whether helping out with extra tasks or anticipating needs before being asked, these small efforts can lead to stellar reviews and more shift opportunities.

Pro Tip: If you finish your duties and aren’t sure what to do next, just ask!

Check for new shift matches often.

Shifts are posted in real-time in the “Matches” section of your app. They are first come, first served, and they can go quickly. Ensure you have your app notifications enabled so we can notify you of new matches, and check back regularly for fresh shifts.

If you don't see any available shifts, don't worry. Keep checking back—new opportunities are posted frequently.

Earn recommendations from businesses.

When you show up, do your best, and earn five-star ratings, businesses are more likely to recommend you for future shifts. High ratings can lead to direct requests from businesses, increasing your chances of getting more consistent work.

Pro Tip: Don’t be afraid to tell business partners how much you enjoyed working with them and express your desire to do so again.

Communicate concerns.

We’re here to support you. When you text us at 79425 you are chatting with real individuals with backgrounds in food and beverage, just like you. If you have any concerns or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We're committed to helping you succeed on the Qwick platform.

By following these tips, you can build a strong reputation on the Qwick platform and increase your chances of getting a higher QwickScore and even more shift invites. You’ve got this! We’re here to cheer you on and support you every step of the way. Thanks for being a part of the Qwick crew.
